The first standard issue semi-automatic rifle issued to the US Armed Forces, the M1 Garand was referred to as 'the greatest battle implement ever devised' by General George S. Patton.Replacing the venerable Springfield M1903 in 1936, the M1 Garand quickly displayed its huge advantage on the battlefield. During World War II, the M1 Garand saw extensive use and gave US forces a major advantage in firefights against Axis soldiers who were usually issued slower bolt-action rifles. The M1 Garand remained in service throughout the Korean War and even had limited deployment in the early years of the Vietnam War. The rifle still continues to be used even in the modern day by drill teams and military honor guards as well as in the civilian market long after it was retired from active service.

I love this I am a huge WWII fan as in I have a WWII American airborne load out, this completes that! It's an amazing gun with the real wood actually smells good out of the box and great metal construction! I've had this for 3 years and it has cost me a little trouble! Do not drop this I cracked the stock and a chunk of wood came out and had to glue it back in and also PEOPLE WONDERING IF THE MAGS FIT IN THE M1 CARTRIGE BELT! YES IT DOES FIT! I have one but u kinda need to push it in hard but the material will stretch over time and fit no problem.

My CARTRIGE belt is a reproduction so yea! Also bayonets fit on it! This gun is great. Accurate, nice blowback action thats alittle to slow in my opinion. Nice finish on the stock and metal. I prefer using metal clips in this gun, I broke 7 plastic clips by steping on then acidentily after ejection. I switched to Cyma Thompson and made my own wood stocks that fit large batts.Pros:Full metalwoodlooks similar to a real garandfun to shoot like a real garandCons:slow blow-back on minefeels awkward to hold imo. I'd recommend using propane since its a gas guzzler. And i've been going through the reviews for this gun, and a common problem people have is the wobble of the upper receiver.

To fix it all you need to do is grab the barrel (a.k.a the part with the orange tip) and twist it to tighten it up. That will get rid of the wobble until the blowback knocks it loose again. Simple fix to an easy problem.Pros:EverythingCons:Accuracy.
